1. The CT machine is a Somatom plus helical scanner from Siemens, Germany.

2. 5V and 12V slip ring carbon brushes are mainly used to power the signal circuit so they are generally called signal carbon brushes.

3. 380V and 120KV slip ring carbon brushes supply turret power supply and tube high voltage, called power carbon brushes.

4. The circuit uses the contact between the carbon brush and the slip ring to realize the connection of the circuit.

5. Poor circuit contact due to worn slip ring carbon brushes is a common equipment failure. When the carbon brush is excessively worn, the length of the carbon brush becomes shorter, the circuit cannot be connected normally, the contact is poor or even the circuit is broken, causing the related equipment to not work properly. The carbon brush needs to be replaced in time.

6. After the carbon brush of the slip ring of the CT machine fails, the circuit of the turret is powered off, so that the scanning is terminated. Due to the interruption of the power supply to the rotating part of the turret, the machine fault self-check information cannot be detected normally. Carbon brush failure is generally difficult to detect in the early stage, and is often easy to detect when the contact is interrupted. Therefore, for large-scale equipment, regular inspection of the related circuit carbon brushes is essential.
